Shane O'Neal , president and CEO of SON Studios, is respected in the photography world for his style and unique vision. A veteran behind the lens, Shane has produced conceptual, controversial and thought provoking photos that have kept high profile cilents coming back for over two decades. He has captured celebrities who have broken through to super stardom. O'Neal started his career and began to master his craft by working under some of the best eyes in the business like David Lachapelle and Stephen Speilberg. Besides Shane's powerful force behind the camera, His passion for the art has also layered his career with other specialties.
Shane has also been recognized with awards for his achievements in headshots, styling and avant garde. He is also a videographer and has produced music video, sizzle reels, pilots and commercial spots. It is Shane's ability to direct and connect with his subjects that has made some of the most beautiful photos come to fruition.
Shanes Origins
Shane O'Neal has been enlightening the west coast for years with his progressive photography. You might find yourself lost in a plethora of visual imagery to the point where you really wouldn't expect so many different sensations to take hold of you from a mere glance through his portfolio. When asked how he achieved such diverse emotional responses on command, Shane's reply is that it is the strong belief he has in playing with the intensities of the human psyche which brings his images to emit such piercing shrieks of visual delight. A bit overkill? Possibly, but that's Shane O'Neal and he has no qualms about his somewhat extreme photography techniques.
Clients using Shane's photographs have taken top awards in categories ranging from children's best expression, best headshot, avant-garde, and classic styling. Enjoyable evenings for Shane in the V.I.P. , holding residency as one of the Playboy Clubs exclusive staff photographers. Recent projects have included a large number of UFC and MMA Fighters as well as new content for sponsors as Worrior Wear Clothing in addition such celebrities as Steven Spielberg, Dennis Rodman, Jennifer Tilly Carrot Top, Amazing Johnathan, Rob Schimmel, DJ AM, Benji Madden, and Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Grand Master Flash with many others in suite. Shane has also had the opportunity to assist the legandary photographer and film director David Lachapelle. Whether photographing a child for the first time or collaborating with a seasoned pro for the next hottest billboards. Which have spanned from as far as Europe to as powerful as the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Shane O'Neal's diversity in the visual arts has shown itself as a force to be reckoned with. It is Shane's great appreciation for the talent he is fortunate enough to work with on a daily basis that inspires him in his quest for "enlightened Images."
